This refuge is being converted in readiness for this coming season. If you are passionate off-piste skier and enjoy absolute peace and ‘jaw-dropping’ views then consider this refuge situated about 3miles from the resort where your only neighbours are the mountains. This is not a simple log cabin, but a refuge with 6 spacious bedrooms (each with en-suite steam rooms) and 1 suite (with steam room and private Jacuzzi), there is also a communal Jacuzzi. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, access to the Internet and of course remarkable views. The lodge proposes a half board service with excellent wholesome meals good wine and like-minded company. There is a cosy bar for exchanging ideas and stories of the days adventures. Transport and Access - This is the really exciting part! On the arrival day you will be met in the resort by a converted piste basher to collect you and your luggage, the journey lasts about 15 minutes depending on conditions. For all other days the refuge offers a service costing 15euros, which buys a return trip by skidoo to the main ski lift area meeting you at the end of the day. There are however 2 off-piste runs which link up close to the refuge (a pick-up can also be arranged). For those looking for a little more excitement there is a landing area outside the refuge for helicopters and light airplanes (around 77 € between 4 people), so you can change your mode of transport to and from the resort. Other Activities : - Skidoos are available to hire to explore the surrounding area in the evenings or perhaps during the day taking a picnic with you. - Hire of equipment is also available. - Kites to ski or snowboard with are on site for hire - plus a little tuition! -Occasional taxi service to the resort for those wishing to sample the nightlife. Notes to consider : The Refuge is a place of peace and tranquillity for those looking to really experience life with the mountain (but with a certain comfort). To take full advantage of this superb location you need to be confident on skis or a board on all off-piste slopes. All areas within the Refuge are non-smoking. This is a ‘hotel’ reserved for adults. There is no set transfer day, so rooms can be booked for example from Thursday to Sunday. Prices are from 130 € per person per night including half board, arrival and departure transfers by piste basher, the use of skis and other equipment is also included.
